Hello and congratulations on your decision to start clinical supervision! Adding a minimum of two years to your learning can seem daunting, which is why it’s important to find a supervisor that’s right for you. As a clinical supervisor, it’s my priority to help you build confidence and clinical judgment that before working independently. Here is a little information about my approach, and I offer free consultations to learn more about the process.

I’ve been a licensed social worker since 2013, and I have experience working in educational settings and providing trauma-informed care. I love incorporating Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and nature-based interventions into my work. While I have training and experience working with specific populations, I believe my approach has been helpful to supervisees in various practice settings. Here are the three main values that guide my supervision approach:

  1. Social justice and decolonizing mental health. I want to inspire other social workers to challenge the way we practice in hopes to make mental health care more inclusive and effective for everyone. We will learn about current evidence-based practices and diagnosing, but we will also spend time questioning these practices and dreaming up a better way.

  2. Authenticity. While evidence-based practice is important, who you are as a human should be valued and highlighted in your work with others. Together, we will work to bring your strengths and personality to the forefront of your practice.

  3. Community. I believe learning should rarely be done in isolation. This is not my supervision group; it is ours. We will learn from each other and take in different perspectives. Our group is a protected space where we will support each other through difficult times and celebrate our wins.

I hold biweekly supervision groups on weekends and evenings, with individual check-ins as needed. All groups are virtual at this time.
